Fare Thru
Food Concept
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, USA
BACKGROUND
A traditional fast food drive thru is limited.
Limited food. Limited lanes. Limited time.
What’s better than a DriveThru?
The FareThru
The FareThru gives customers the power of choice: Multiple Food Options, Multiple Lanes, and Order-Ahead Capability.
GOAL: Accommodate multiple tastes in one quick, easy stop. The FARETHRU concept elevates the convenience of a traditional drive-thru by implementing multiple pick-up locations for a variety of quick bite food concepts.
MY ROLES
My role was to come up with a name and logo for this concept as well as develop a signage system in coordination with the landscape design for vehicular use/direction. Fare (another word for food) was an easy choice for this “eat-your-way-through” concept. Sustainable packaging concepts for food transport were also considered.
By eliminating the dining room overhead cost, the model relies on a combination of highly efficient kitchens, smart phone technology, and a few friendly faces for delivery between the kitchen hub and the customer’s vechicle. Patrons can order on their phone before they leave their office/home and arrive to a designated pickup location to retrieve their food. Lights above each parking space indicate open lanes and spots ready for pickup or on-spot ordering. Where a long drive-thru line might have once discouraged a growling stomach, the FARETHRU’s multi-lane layout works to banish life’s hangry moments.
